Ranjith Dharmakeerthi (1942)

Ranjith Dharmakeerthi can be introduced as a writer who is well versed in the performing arts through literary works such as epics, novels, youth novels, translations, academic books, and children's stories. Born on April 6, 1942, his hometown was windy. St. Xavier's Marawala, Government Secondary School, Maharagama Secondary School, and Lumbini College, Colombo are the schools where he wrote. He holds a Diploma in Communication Design from Durathiji Pandit University, Bapekat.

He is also an External Lecturer in various courses at the Universities of Sri Jayewardenepura, Colombo, and Kelaniya. He has won seven state awards for his literary work and several stages plays.
